Product Description: AMI Modular Induction Motors

High Reliability and Availability
AMI engineered modular induction motors are designed to provide unmatched reliability and availability in the toughest and most demanding industrial applications. Built upon the motor industry's most successful modular platform, these motors are tailor-made to match a broad variety of application requirements while offering the flexibility to be adapted to highly specific configurations.

AMI modular induction motors comply with all relevant international standards and are available for both direct-on-line (DOL) and variable speed drive (VSD) operation. They feature a robust welded steel frame and are available in standard shaft heights from 400 to 630 mm. While this catalog highlights technical data at 50 Hz, the motors are fully capable of operating at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with synchronous speeds from 500 to 3600 rpm.

1. Mounting Arrangements
Standard mounting arrangements are provided, with other custom mountings available upon request:

• IM B3 (Code II: IM 1001): Horizontal foot-mounted.
• IM V1 (Code II: IM 4011): Vertical flange-mounted (free shaft end facing downwards).
• 2. Enclosure and Cooling Options
• IC01 / IP24 (Weather Protected): Features a shaft-mounted cooling fan inside the housing. The design reduces the ingress of rain, snow, and airborne particles by ensuring the average intake velocity does not exceed 3 m/s. The air intake path includes three acute direction changes in excess of 90 degrees to optimize flow and allow heavier particles to settle. Protects against splashing water from any direction.
• IC611 / IP55 (Air-to-Air Cooled): A fully enclosed design featuring an air-to-air heat exchanger mounted on the motor. Shaft-mounted fans are fitted both inside and outside the casing to supply separate cooling circuits. Protects against dust and splashing water from any direction.
• IC81W / IP55 (Air-to-Water Cooled): A fully enclosed motor fitted with an air-to-water heat exchanger. An internal shaft-mounted fan supplies the internal cooling circuit. Protects against dust and splashing water from any direction.
• IC31 / IP55 (Remote Air Cooled): Fitted with inlet and outlet pipes for remote cooling air. Essentially consists of the AMI motor frame without an upper cover. Protects against dust and splashing water from any direction.

Packaging

Standard seaworthy packaging for export, utilizing plywood or wooden fumigation packages. Fully suitable for long-distance transportation by sea or land.

Warranty Period

• Standard Warranty: 12 months after commissioning, or 18 months after delivery, whichever comes first.
