Product Description
1. Product Overview
The AMI series are modular‑designed induction motors featuring high reliability and stable performance, built for harsh and demanding operating conditions. Customizable to satisfy diverse customer‑specific application requirements, these motors are developed on a mature, proven modular platform. They support a wide scope of demanding working scenarios and allow flexible configuration for special‑purpose projects.
Complying with global applicable international standards, AMI motors support both direct‑on‑line (DOL) startup and variable‑speed drive (VSD) operation. The motor adopts welded steel frame construction. Standard available combinations of cooling system and protection class include: IC01 / IP24W, IC611 / IP55 and IC81W / IP55. Standard shaft height ranges from 400 mm to 630 mm, supporting both horizontal and vertical mounting.
This catalogue provides 50 Hz‑based technical data for AMI motors; nevertheless, the motors can run at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with synchronous speed ranging from 500 rpm to 3600 rpm. The power range covered in this catalogue reaches up to 8 000 kW, while the full product portfolio can deliver power up to 23 000 kW.

- IM B3 (Code II: IM 1001): Horizontal foot‑mounted
- IM V1 (Code II: IM 4011): Vertical flange‑mounted (free shaft end facing downward)
3. Enclosure & Cooling Solutions
IC01 / IP24
Weather‑protected structure equipped with shaft‑driven internal cooling fan. The structural design minimizes ingress of rain, snow and airborne particles into electrical components. Air intake velocity is controlled below 3 m/s to enable heavy particles to settle out. The air passage adopts more than three sharp direction changes over 90°, optimizing airflow and offering protection against splash water from all directions.
IC611 / IP55
Totally‑enclosed structure fitted with air‑to‑air heat exchanger. Shaft‑driven fans are installed inside and outside the housing to drive internal and external cooling circuits respectively. Provides protection against dust and omnidirectional splash water.
IC81W / IP55
Fully‑enclosed motor equipped with air‑to‑water heat exchanger. Internal shaft‑mounted fan drives inner cooling circulation. Dust‑proof and resistant to splash water from all directions.
IC31 / IP55
Designed with inlet and outlet ports for external cold‑air supply; the motor frame is supplied without top cover. It provides protection against dust and splash water from all directions.
Note: IC01 version features asymmetric internal air circulation.
4. Packaging
Export‑grade seaworthy packing is adopted. Options include plywood case or fumigated wooden case, suitable for long‑distance sea and land transportation.
5. Warranty
Standard warranty term: 12 months upon commissioning, or 18 months after delivery, whichever occurs first. Extended warranty service is available; please contact our sales team for further information.
