15KW 4-Pole Three-Phase Induction Motor Introduction
This 15KW three-phase induction motor is a high-performance heavy-duty drive unit, featuring a 4-pole configuration and a rated speed of 1400 RPM—closely approaching the 1500 RPM synchronous speed under 50Hz three-phase alternating current (AC) power supply. Its core operation adheres to the principle of electromagnetic induction: when three-phase AC is supplied to the stator windings, a uniform rotating magnetic field (RMF) is generated, with rotational speed inversely proportional to the number of pole pairs. The RMF cuts the rotor conductors, inducing electromotive force (EMF) and eddy currents, and the interaction between these induced currents and the RMF produces strong electromagnetic torque, driving the rotor to rotate asynchronously with a low slip ratio (3%-5% at rated load), ensuring stable and efficient power transmission for heavy-duty equipment.
Structurally engineered for durability and heavy-load adaptability, the motor adopts a robust cast-iron frame with IP55 protection class (upgradeable to IP65), providing excellent mechanical rigidity, dustproof, waterproof, and anti-corrosion performance to withstand harsh industrial environments such as heavy-duty workshops and outdoor facilities. The stator is equipped with high-purity oxygen-free copper windings encapsulated in Class F insulation material, boasting a thermal endurance temperature of 155℃, which minimizes copper loss and prevents insulation breakdown under long-term heavy-load operation. The 4-pole rotor features a die-cast aluminum squirrel-cage structure with reinforced mechanical strength, paired with precision sealed deep-groove ball bearings lubricated by high-temperature lithium-based grease, reducing frictional loss and ensuring smooth rotation even under high torque.
Key performance parameters are calibrated for heavy-duty industrial demands: rated voltage 380V (50Hz), rated current approximately 29.8A, and a rated power factor of ≥0.87. It delivers a starting torque of 1.7 times the rated torque for reliable startup under heavy loads, with a maximum torque of 2.2 times the rated torque to cope with sudden load fluctuations. Compliant with IE3 energy efficiency standards, it significantly reduces energy consumption, with noise emission controlled at ≤76dB at 1m. Widely used in heavy-duty mechanical processing, large-scale HVAC systems, and high-power fluid engineering equipment, it supports horizontal and vertical mounting. Regular insulation testing (≥2MΩ at 500V DC) and bearing maintenance extend its service life, making it a reliable and cost-effective heavy-duty drive solution.
