Its core operation relies on the principle of electromagnetic induction: three-phase AC supplied to stator windings generates a uniform rotating magnetic field (RMF), which cuts rotor conductors to induce electromotive force (EMF) and eddy currents. The interaction between these induced currents and the RMF produces stable electromagnetic torque, driving the rotor to rotate asynchronously with a low slip ratio (3%-5% at rated load), ensuring consistent power transmission for load-sensitive equipment.
